Vancouver Capilanos Will Have New Stadium in '51
VANCOUVER, B.C., March 15—Vancouver Capilanos of the Western International Baseball league will have a new, $300,000 stadium by 1951.
Contract agreement for the 7,000-seat stadium to be built in the Little Mountain area was signed today. Construction will start by July 1.
The contract was signed by the city and officers of Sicks' Capilano Brewery, Ltd. The city will acquire the present $150,000 Capilano stadium for $50,000 and the brewery company will purchase a special $300,000 bond issue to finance construction of the new stadium.
