SALEM, Ore., June 4 — Tri-City's Braves scored three runs in the seventh to win the nightcap 4-1 and gain a split in their Western International league doubleheader with the Senators here Sunday night. Salem won the opener 5-2.
Hits by Neil Bryant and Lou McCollum, a pair of walks and two errors figured in the Tri-City splurge. Manager-pitcher Ad Liska taking the mound chores for the second time this season, was the losing pitcher for Salem. Dick Faber accounted for the other Braves run with a homer in the third. Salem counted in the sixth on two errors, a walk and a hit by Bob Cherry.
John Tierney scattered 11 hits in the opener tn give the Senators their lone victory of the four-game series. It was Tierney's ninth victory of the year, as against two defeats.
Walks by Budnick figured in all the Salem scoring. Tri-City got their runs in the ninth on a hit by Faber, an error, a hit by Bryant and an infield out.

SPOKANE, June 4—Two Tacoma Tigers ran into each other Sunday night and missed a high fly to allow three tie-breaking runs which clinched a 10 to 6 Western International league victory for the Spokane Indians.
Sunday night's win split the doubleheader. Tacoma won the afternoon game 18 to 3. The four-game series went to Spokane. 3 to 1. An early-season rainout will be made up Monday.
Big Joe Rossi, Spokane catcher, hammered the high blow during the eighth inning, when the bases were loaded with the score 6-all. The ball bounced off Tacoma right fielder Dick Greco and second baseman Ron Gifford.

WENATCHEE, June 4—The Yakima Bears swept a doubleheader from the Wenatchee Chiefs here Sunday by winning the night game 11 to 4.
The Bears took the first contest in the afternoon 15 to 7. Babe Gammino led the Bears at the plate in the second game with a double and a triple and drove in four runs.
Lefthander Teddy Savarese was in trouble only in the seventh inning when Don Fracchia and Hank Sciarra hit home runs for Wenatchee. Sciarra's homer came with one man on base.
Yakima won the Western International league series three games to one.
